Almost 10 years after raising £15,000 to fund the total refurbishment of the Pied Piper-assisted Sensory Washroom in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital’s Children’s Centre, Brunsdon returned once again on 13 th November to hand over another cheque for £17,000! The latest fundraising was the result of a hugely successful Brunsdon Charity Golf Day held at Tewkesbury Park Hotel & Golf Course in September.
The Sensory Washroom is loved by the children and is in constant daily use. The money will be used for a much needed redecoration makeover and an essential equipment upgrade.
The Pied Piper Appeal is the leading children’s charity in Gloucestershire. It funds medical and practical equipment that enhances care and treatment for children in hospitals and special schools throughout the county. Around 10,000 children pass through the Centre each year, 30% of which are suffering from cancer-related illnesses.
Brunsdon’s Heartfelt fundraising foundation has been a long-term supporter of the Pied Piper Appeal and since 2011 has raised £50,000 for the charity.
