Therefore, we are proud and excited to announce that we’ll be sponsoring the Pension Awareness Live 2021 campaign, which takes place between the 13th and 17th September.
This year’s roadshow will be delivered virtually for the second time, with a series of live webinars, Q&A sessions and one-to-one talks with friendly pensions experts.
Promoting financial wellbeing
Pension Awareness Day was first set up in 2014 by the Pension Geeks and falls on 15 September annually. It was introduced to educate people around their pension and to highlight that we as a nation may not be saving enough for later life. Today, people are living longer with retirement lasting 30 years or longer for many of us. A recent government report has revealed that as many as 12 million people are simply not saving enough for their future[1].
Topics featured this year include pension basics, ethical investing and financial wellbeing; something we here at Brunsdon Financial feel particularly passionate about.
Five days of events
Since its inception, the campaign has grown to include events and discussions that take place throughout the week, providing a range of options when it comes to learning more about your savings and how to feel comfortable with your pension.
We believe that financial education should be accessible and understandable, and we were thrilled when the opportunity came up to support this year’s Pension Awareness Live campaign.
