Continuing the tradition of our popular Charity Golf Days, Brunsdon Financial Services Ltd., Brunsdon Asset Management Ltd. and Brunsdon Employee Benefits Ltd. recently jointly hosted another hugely successful fundraiser.
The event, held at Tewkesbury Park Hotel & Golf Course on 20 September, raised £17,391 for the Pied Piper Appeal.
The Pied Piper Appeal is the leading children’s charity in Gloucestershire. It funds medical and practical equipment that enhances care and treatment for children in hospitals and special schools throughout the county.
Brunsdon Financial Services Ltd. and Brunsdon Employee Benefits Ltd. Managing Director Marcus Gomery commented that despite the distinctly autumnal flavour to the weather, 100 golfers had a fantastic day. He said, “We prayed that the rain would hold off and it did! I can’t thank our sponsors enough. The business community came up trumps once again and helped us raise over £17,000 for a wonderful charity, the Pied Piper Appeal. It exceeded our expectations.”
His comments were echoed by Pied Piper Appeal Chairman, Nick Broady, who said, “Thank you Brunsdon. Thank you Tewkesbury Park. The support has been amazing. Seventeen thousand pounds is amazing!”
Brunsdon’s Heartfelt fundraising foundation has been raising money for local charities and sponsoring charitable events for decades. Over the years we have contributed well in excess of £120,000 to good causes by riding, climbing, wing walking, zip-wiring, dancing, marathon running, selling (and eating!) cake, sponsorship, golf days – even writing books in aid of charity.
